I wrote this song, “Sun God”, back in 2000. That was when the Twin Towers were still standing in NYC. Before the world changed. I recorded and mixed it in my Brooklyn apartment. And finally finished the song in early 2001. YouTube wasn’t around yet, or I would have posted it right away. And the internet was still in its infancy. So I remained on that tough road which independent artists of the time all know about. One positive thing that happened early on, was when Jonathan Clarke on Q104.3FM gave me a spin. He even included a really nice intro. It felt great to get love from the big Classic Rock station in New York City. I had decided to do a rock cut because I was just uninspired by what was going on in hip hop back then. And I wanted to try a couple of ideas that had been sitting on the back burner. This was one of them. The feedback has always been really positive for “Sun God”. And I appreciate the love. Unfortunately, I just never promoted it. But hey, better late than never. Check me out. Shout to Christian Castagno for the the guitar parts. He came over and sat on my sofa with his guitar and played them right into ProTools. He gave me so many parts in fact, that it took me about a week to edit them down. Thanks, man! So anyway, here it is. “Sun God” – my version of electronic Rock n’ Roll. And if you’re diggin’ it, a nice, loud, HQ MP3 is available in the store. Thanks for stopping by. Peace!
